Our clinical trials are conducted by experienced investigators, many of whom are directors of service lines at John Muir Health. They include cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, colorectal surgeons, dermatologists, diabetologists, endocrinologists, family practice physicians, gastroenterologists, gynecologic surgeons, internal medicine, medical oncologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologist, orthopedic surgeons, and radiation oncologists.
All of our investigators have completed the NIH training course on protecting research participants and have extensive research experience in many disease states.
Most members of our research staff are certified through either the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA). Our staff includes physicians, medical and research directors, research managers, research nurses and coordinators, certified diabetes educators, a registered dietitian, data managers, and financial analysts. Each staff member has at least several years of clinical research experience.
