I'm new to John Muir Health, where do I start?
As your partner in health, we’re here to help make your transition from your previous health care provider as quick and easy as possible. Just follow the steps here to get started.
How do I know if John Muir Health or my physician is in my insurance network?
John Muir Health contracts with most major health insurance plans. Check our list of plans.
How do I find a doctor accepting new patients?
Use our Find a doctor search tool, and check the box for “accepting new patients” on the left-hand side. Get to know your new doctor by watching the bio videos, and schedule online with many of our providers.
Can I email my doctor or look at my lab results online?
Yes, when you become a patient at John Muir Health, we encourage you to register for our digital patient portal, MyChart. This portal allows you to message your care team, update your contact information, opt-in to paperless billing and online payments, conduct a video visit, review lab results, and complete paperwork in advance of your appointment. Learn more about MyChart.
Where are your Urgent Care locations?
We have Urgent Care Centers in locations across the East Bay.
Are you a health plan?
No, we are not a health plan. We are a provider of healthcare services, and we are in-network for many health plan options.
How can I safely see my doctor during COVID-19?
Many conditions and issues can be covered remotely through a video visit or a phone visit. We also have numerous safety precautions in place to help keep you safe when you need in-person care.
Is it easy to transfer my medical history?
Your new PCP will request your records from your previous doctor. You can also bring copies of your record to your visit. If you come from a medical group that uses MyChart, you can transfer your medical information very easily online. Learn more about MyChart.
