Locations added in Berkeley, San Ramon and Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek, Calif. (May 19, 2021) – John Muir Health has opened three new COVID-19 vaccination locations in Berkeley, San Ramon and Walnut Creek to serve the community in addition to existing clinic locations in Brentwood and at our two medical centers in Concord and Walnut Creek. The vaccination clinics are open to everyone eligible to receive the vaccine (ages 12+) regardless of whether they are a John Muir Health patient.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer additional vaccination locations for the convenience of our community,” said Laura Kazaglis, Vice President of Practice Operations for John Muir Health’s Physician Network. “It’s important that people continue to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as that is the key to ending the pandemic. The vaccine is free and there is plenty of supply now for everyone eligible to receive it. ”
John Muir Health locations where the COVID-19 vaccine is available include:
* We will begin to phase out vaccine appointments at John Muir Health’s two acute care hospitals in Concord and Walnut Creek over the next several weeks, but some appointments are still available.
Vaccinations are being given by appointment only to ensure we are using every vaccine dose we have available, and you don’t have to be a John Muir Health patient to schedule a vaccine appointment. The best way to schedule is through MyChart. Patients who are new to John Muir Health or don't have a MyChart account yet, can create one by visiting www.johnmuirhealth.com/savetime and then schedule their vaccine appointment. There is no cost to open a MyChart account.
If a patient already has a MyChart account, they can schedule their vaccine appointment by logging in and going to "Visits", then clicking "Schedule an Appointment". From there, choose "COVID-19 Vaccine" as the type of appointment to schedule. Appointment availability will pop up at our vaccine clinic locations. There is no charge for COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
In addition to John Muir Health, vaccine appointments are available in many other places, including county or state locations or retail pharmacies. We encourage everyone eligible to take the vaccine.
