What is Open Access Screening?

Open Access allows the patient or referring physician to schedule a screening colonoscopy without the need for a full in-person gastrointestinal consultation. Open Access is appropriate for healthy patients who have no serious medical conditions. With Open Access, a clinician will contact and assess the patient by phone. Our staff will then call the patient to schedule the procedure if eligible, or an in-office consultation if not.

Who is eligible?

  • Healthy individuals 45 and older with no symptoms who are due for colorectal cancer screening
  • Individuals 40 and older with a family history of colorectal cancer or advanced colon polyps
  • Any individual with a personal history of colorectal cancer or colorectal polyps

Contact us at the below number for questions or further information. Patients with medical issues are advised to first meet with their physician. If appropriate, our staff will then call to schedule the procedure.
