Our adult outpatient programs provide structured, intensive treatment and support beyond what can be achieved by individual therapy alone. We offer two programs for adults 18 years old and above.

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

  •  Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Both programs provide intensive treatment during the day so you can return home at night.

 

Who May Benefit

Our adult outpatient treatment programs help people with mental health and / or substance addiction who are:

  • Recently released from a mental health hospital or detox facility

  • Needing intensive support to help prevent a future hospitalization

  • Requiring more structured treatment and support than therapy alone

  • Struggling to cope at school, work and/or home

  • Having difficulty managing basic self-care needs

  • Experiencing moderate to severe depression and/or anxiety

  • Struggling with intrusive or troubling thoughts of self-harm

 

What to Expect

Our PHP and IOP programs offer a comprehensive curriculum of activities to help support your recovery including:

  • Adult group and individual therapy

  • Recovery-focused education on diagnoses, medications, effective communication, problem solving and healthy coping strategies

  • Drama therapy, art activities, games and role playing

  • Weekly meetings with a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner

  • Weekly meetings with your primary therapist

  • Classes on the benefits of good nutrition, healthy living, exercise, mindfulness and relaxation
     

Groups and skill building classes within the programs include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Effective Communication Skills

  • Mindfulness

  • Healthy Boundaries in relationships

  • Medication Education

  • Self Esteem

  • Grief and Loss

  • Anger Management

  • Dual Diagnosis

  • Harm Reduction for alcohol and other drug use

  • Expressive Arts Therapy
