Prostate Cancer Screening Event

This screening will include a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test and a Digital Rectal Exam . No prior authorization from your doctor is needed.  To schedule an appointment, just call (925) 941-7900, option #1, beginning September 4, 2018 and answer a few qualifying questions. Phone lines will be open from 9:00am - 4:30pm. Please Note: Only qualified applicants will be able to participate. 

The screening is available to:

  • All men 40 to 75 (men must not have had a prostate cancer diagnosis or a PSA & DRE exam in the last 12 months)

 

Baseline screening for men ages 40-49 who:

  • Are African-American
  • Have a first degree relative with a diagnosis of prostate cancer
  • Have a family history of breast cancer or the BRCA gene

 

The screening will take place at the Cancer Institute in the Concord Medical Center on Tuesday September 25, 2018 & Wednesday September 26, 2018
