Each patient, even in one household, will receive their own invitation to schedule an appointment. We understand that having separate appointments for people in the same household may be inconvenient, and, for that, we apologize. We are working to vaccinate as many patients as we can, as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience.
To ensure we can contact our patients quickly, we encourage you to sign up for a MyChart account by visiting our MyChart sign up information page.
Yes. Our vaccine clinic staffing includes Registered Nurses and Physicians, and we are prepared to handle any adverse events.
At these locations, we are only giving the vaccine inside our vaccine clinics. This allows us to observe you for any reactions after the vaccine, and care for you quickly if needed. We have the tools/resources available to monitor you inside our clinic. Our vaccine clinics are wheelchair accessible and there is assistance available for anyone who requires help walking.
In some of our Mobile Health Vaccination Clinics, we do provide drive-thru vaccinations. After receiving the vaccine, you are asked to park and wait for 15 minutes before exiting. This allows us to observe you for any reactions after the vaccine, and care for you quickly if needed.
When you receive your first vaccination, you will be scheduled for your second vaccination before you leave the appointment. For the Pfizer vaccine, the second dose is given 21 days after the first dose. For the Moderna vaccine, the second dose is given 28 days after the first dose. The second dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible. However, if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval and a delay in vaccination is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose. There are currently limited data on efficacy of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines administered beyond this window. If the second dose is administered beyond these intervals, there is no need to restart the series.
For more information on clinical considerations for the COVID-19 vaccines, please see the CDC website.
The vaccine you receive (Pfizer, Moderna, etc) is dependent on which vaccines we receive from the County. We are unable to accommodate requests for specific vaccines. Your second dose will be from the same manufacturer as your first dose.
