Spinal Injury

John Muir Health offers a team of experts to help patients who suffer traumatic spinal injuries.

We use minimally invasive techniques to treat spinal injuries.

For patients requiring surgery, when conditions allow for it, we use minimally invasive surgical techniques (MISS) that involve the insertion of a camera-equipped scope through a small incision in the back that guides the surgeon’s use of instruments through another small incision.

With MISS, the patients experience less pain and faster recovery times than open surgery, but with the same effective results.
