Our pediatric physical therapists have expertise in child development and have been specially trained to work with children. By partnering with you, as well as with your child’s other doctors and specialists, we’re able to create an individualized treatment plan, unique to your child’s needs.

Conditions We Treat

Physical therapy is often recommended for children who have been injured or who have movement problems from an illness, disease, or disability. Many of the conditions we treat involve:

  • Poor gross motor skills and balance, in coordination of lower extremities
  • Atypical development
  • Torticollis (abnormal twisting of the neck, also known as wry neck)
  • Weakness in trunk and/or lower extremities
  • Postural imbalances
  • Diminished balance/proprioceptive abilities
  • Abnormal gait, such as toeing in or out
  • Orthopedic injuries in athletes and non-athletes
  • Post concussion syndrome
  • Gross motor and lower body strength deficits due to neurologic injury
  • Determine need for orthotics or other medical equipment
  • Biofeedback for constipation, incontinence and chronic pain management
  • POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and autonomic nerve dysfunction
  • Feeding difficulties
