Our first year residents enjoy two weeks of electives which have included Women’s Health, Leadership Development, Behavioral Health and Musculoskeletal-Sports Medicine electives.
Our second year residents will have three weeks of elective in the first-half of the year and two weeks during Block 5.
Our third year residents have three weeks of elective in the first half of the year, two weeks during Block 5, and three weeks in the second half of the year, to allow them more flexibility to pursue personal interest areas, areas of challenge, or any educational activities that may have been missed.
First and second-year electives are generally in-house electives and residents are expected to attend their Residency Practice Team Based Clinics two half-days a week during their electives.
Third year residents will be allowed to have a portion of their elective time off-site without Team Based continuity clinics with prior approval of the program director.
